Alientech is an Italian company that since 1991 has been carrying out improvements in the field of engine tuning, both for utility and racing cars. The company dates back to the early ’90 the release of their first mapping software, running under DOS operating system. 
The great success of their products led then to go even further as they believed that the valuable experience and the technical ability of their staff have always been able to provide their customers with solutions that meet user's need, in a technology market that is in constant evolution.


Alientech has a clearly demonstrated timeline of the release of its most famous products: 

  • In 2000 they released ECM2001, the evolution of our their first mapping software;for years ECM2001 has provided support to many tuners. 
  • In 2002 they introduced KESS, with its constant updates, enabling them keep up to date with technological revolutions as they occurred both in engines and in computer science. 
  • In 2004 Powergate was born, an OBD personal serial programmer. Powergate was the first programmer to implement the SAE-J1850 protocol, and it makes possible to switch autonomously from one map to another, in few easy steps. 
  • In 2005 comes on the market BDM pro, the programmer with the Background Debug Mode interface, which makes possible saving ECU backup. 
  • In 2007 a new version of Powergate, was released, with a larger display and a significantly higher number of vehicles supported. Thanks to its characteristics Powergate become within a few months the partner of several racing teams, both for cars and motorbikes. 
  • In 2008 ECM Titanium revolutionizes tuners' works: thanks to a 8 GB flash drive, original and processed files are stored in the flash drive, allowing having data always at your disposal. 
  • 2009 is the year of KESSv2, the technological evolution of Alientech system dedicated to serial communication with the engine control unit, available for cars, motorcycles, trucks and agricultural vehicles. The new management software is designed to guide you step by step in all phases of work. The support for automatic updates has been improved and the service pack system has been implemented in order to always have an easy access to the latest version of operating manuals. 
  • In 2010 the Bootloader Tricore adapter for KESSv2 was introduced, the accessory that allows you to perform reading/writing in mode boot all ECU’s equipped with microprocessors TC17xx in all safety, with the ability to Backup and Restore Data completely. In 2011 K-TAG was released, the new ECU programmer 'on the bench' that combines the communication lines J-Tag, Motorola BDM/Nexus and Bootloader Mitsubishi/Tricore Infineon/ST in a single product. 
  • Also in 2011, two new offices have been opened in France and Spain, providing technical support and training. 
  • Over the years Alientech has always offered to his customers essential tools for their work, as evidenced by the numerous accessories supported. The constant technical assistance, the professional skill their team and the attention given to our customers’ need have contributed to make Alientech one of the reference points in the chip-tuning market.
